South Korean singer-songwriter Song Wonsub recorded a cover of Batyrkhan Shukenov's famous song called Rain, winning the acclaim of YouTube users from Kazakhstan, QazMonitor reports.
Song Wonsub often covers songs of famous artists, posting them on his YouTube channel. He has already covered the works of Murat Nasyrov, Jah Khalib, Victor Tsoi, Kazka, Dima Bilan, Valery Meladze, and other artists.
What makes the cover version truly stand out are two things. First, the striking vocal resemblance of the Korean singer to Shukenov, especially in the chorus section. And second, the fact that Song wonsub translated the song into Korean, thus spreading Shukenov’s legacy to an even broader audience.
