The theme of this year's Digital Bridge International Technological Forum taking place in Astana on September 28-29 is "Central Eurasia as a new technological platform”.

During the Eighth summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), President Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev proposed the creation of a center for modern technology parks of Turkic countries.

As part of this initiative, technoparks of the OTS members are expected to sign a memorandum, aimed at the joint development of ICT and an innovation ecosystem in the region. They will also discuss the possibility of creating an association of technoparks and integrating their IT platforms, as well as the implementation of the IT residency program Digital Nomad, aimed at increasing the mobility of IT startups in the OTS countries.

Heads of the technoparks will also hold a panel discussion, where they will share their vision of cooperation and development of a regional innovation ecosystem with the guests of the Forum.

Thirteen technoparks from different countries, such as Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Palestine, and Kazakhstan will participate in the exhibition.

General Director of Astana Hub Magzhan Madiyev says each technopark will get to showcase its programs, IT innovations, and startups at the forum.

"In addition to the exhibition, there will also be an exhibition of IT schools, an IT job fair, Astana Hub Battle, and VR and GameDev-platforms. Venture capitalists from all over the region are expected to participate. Leading international experts will discuss current issues of the IT world at numerous panel sessions," Madiyev said.
