The CEO of Freedom Holding Corp. Timur Turlov announced that he has Kazakh citizenship.

The seventh richest businessman in Kazakhstan wrote on his Facebook page that he first came to Kazakhstan almost 11 years ago, and has been living in the country with his family for the past 10 years.

"There are changes happening in Kazakhstan - which I like - the fastest being digital transformation, which allows me and my holding team to create the most advanced fintech products in the world. This is where our NASDAQ-listed holding company has been headquartered since day one." the businessman wrote.

I am proud to be a citizen of Kazakhstan

He also noted the prospects for raising capital.

"Now when I talk about Digital Mortgage in the U.S. and Germany - people are delighted. I hope that there will be more and more stories like these. It's a great honor and a great responsibility for me. And yes, for the holding company it will mean that we will invest and attract even more capital to Kazakhstan, including both European and American capital. I sense a wind of change here, and there will be a lot of opportunities now. Kazakhstan is one of the most interesting countries in the world. One of the most undervalued. And together we can make it even better!" Timur Turlov noted.

"Мен қазақша ұренемын, жақында мен қазақша сөйлейтін боламын!" [I am learning Kazakh, soon I will be able to speak Kazakh!] Turlov concluded.
