The updated Chevrolet Equinox MY2022 has started arriving at Chevrolet Kazakhstan dealerships. The model is available in 6 body colors - red, blue, white, gray, wet asphalt, and black - and 3 trim levels:
- 1LT - 16,500,000 tenge
- 1LT RS - 17,500,000 tenge
- 3LT RS - 18,500,000 tenge.
The main difference between the Equinox 2022MY and the 2021 model is the mild hybrid system, which improves driving dynamics and increases driving comfort. The mild hybrid operates with the start-stop system to help generate electricity when it decelerates smoothly, charging a higher-capacity battery.
Externally, the cars in the 2021 RS package and the top-of-the-line 2022 look identical, repeating all previous design elements from their last restyling: the grille in black "chrome", the logo in black, red stripes on the mirrors, black 19-inch wheels and other elements of sporty design. The 1LT version received changes in the exterior - it differs by chrome grille trim, classic golden nameplate, the presence of silver rails, as well as silver disks at 18 inches.
In all trim levels, the Equinox model is equipped with six airbags (front, side and curtain-type), anti-lock brakes (ABS), ESP, hill start assist (HAS), an 8-inch "touchscreen" multimedia system, push start, rearview camera, 4. 2-inch information display in the instrument panel, panoramic sunroof, leather interior, heated and electrically driven mirrors, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, audio system with six speakers and support for CarPlay and other modern options that make any trip to long distances as comfortable and safe as possible.
The Equinox, like the 2021 model, is equipped with a 4-cylinder 2-liter turbocharged engine producing 236 hp (350 Nm). The two-liter motor is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and a choice of all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive. According to the manufacturer, the crossover is able to accelerate from a stationary position to 100 km/h in about 7.5 seconds and can reach a maximum speed of 210 km/h. The Chevrolet Equinox has established itself in Kazakhstan as the most powerful crossover in the segment.
In Kazakhstan, the car is available in 1 LT, 1 LT RS, and 3LT RS trim levels. The crossover is available for credit purchase with an installment option.
