In April 2022, Astana Hub, an international tech park based in Nur-Sultan, signed a partnership agreement with Google for Startups [GfS] and became the first partner of the Silicon Valley giant in the Central Asian region. The Kazakh company is to join the list of over 70 member organizations in more than 60 countries. Google for Startups has already put Nur-Sultan on the map of partners and campuses.
“Astana Hub together with GfS announces the launch of a business accelerator program for startups from Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan), Azerbaijan and Mongolia. There are two accelerator streams planned for Product/Market Fit stage startups this year, each with up to 15 offline startups in Nur-Sultan,” the company shared in an official announcement.
The tech park promises to deliver its participants such perks as free accommodation for two team members, coworking space, access to Invest Day forums, and a chance to get financing of up to $55,000.
In turn, GfS is ready to provide access to unique master classes and individual mentoring from Google experts, as well as PR support for outstanding cases on its platform and social networks as part of the partnership.
The startup program has facilitated the creation of 130,000 jobs at campuses and partner communities. In 2020, the total funding raised by GfS stood at $6.7 billion.
