Silkroad Innovation Hub Partners with Berkeley Asia Business Club

The representatives of tech businesses discussed AI and LLM in Asia

Silkroad Innovation Hub became a partner of UC Berkeley’s Asia Business Club. The hub represented Central Eurasia region at the 18th Asia Business Conference, QazMonitor reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Digital Innovation.

Why it matters: Asia Business Club (ABC) is part of UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. The partnership with Berkeley allows the Silkroad Innovation Hub to promote the Central Eurasian region globally.

Conference: This year, the ABC conference titled "Rising Asia: Shaping the Moment, Navigating Challenges and Opportunities" focused on the impact of new technologies in the Asia-Pacific region.

Participants: On April 6, The Asia Business Conference brought together entrepreneurs and professionals involved in business development in Asia. The list of speakers included professors at Stanford and UC Berkeley, venture funds — Fusion Fund, EnvisionX Capital, Blume Ventures, Intudo Ventures, as well as representatives of Cisco, TikTok, Google, Amazon, Meta, and Alibaba.

Discussion: Representatives of the region took part in the panel session "Emerging Tech and Entrepreneurship in Central Eurasia”, namely:

  • Asset Abdualiyev, CEO and founder of Silkroad Innovation Hub

  • Aidana Daulbay, international representative of Astana Hub

  • Sultonmurod Rasulov, head of the North America Division at IT Park Uzbekistan

  • Darsh Mann, head of business development at StartX

  • Doszhan Zhussupov, CEO and founder of the startup CerebraAI

The session mainly covered AI and Large Language Model development.
