Kazakhstan is considering the launch of household appliances and electronics production under Samsung brand, potentially utilizing the Silk Road Electronics plant in Saran city in the Karagandy region, QazMonitor reports citing the Ministry of Industry and Construction.
What happened: Minister of Industry and Construction Kanat Sharlapayev held a meeting with representatives from Samsung Electronics Central Eurasia, led by Chairman of the Board, Chu Minki. Discussions revolved around the possibility of implementing a project for manufacturing household appliances and electronics in the Karagandy region.
During the meeting, the Minister underscored the significance of the project, emphasizing its potential for fostering cooperation. He acknowledged the importance of developing partnerships between countries to enhance investment ties.
Chairman Chu Minki noted that cooperation between the two countries within the framework of this project could guarantee mutually beneficial relations between Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea.
