Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov announced on his official Facebook page the creation of a comprehensive guide with a list of sanctioned organizations and banned goods for export and import in Russia and Belarus. This news was reported by Bluescreen.

The guide for businesses is available on their website.

The purpose of the guide

The minister began by addressing questions a lot of businesspeople ask in regards to sanctions against Russia and Belarus by a number of countries, which is: Which products or banks fall under sanctions?

This is a pressing issue, not only because Kazakhstan relies heavily on the export of its products to two countries.

The minister said: "As you know, we trade freely with the rest of the world, especially with the Eurasian Economic Space. The flow of goods is operating at maximum efficiency. In addition, quite a lot of goods targeting Russia and Belarus come through Kazakhstan."

Our task now is not to fall under the "special attention" of countries that have imposed sanctions because of the risk of re-export. (...) Therefore, the entire list of sanctions restrictions and goods (with TNVED codes) prohibited for export and import to Russia and Belarus has been collected and posted on our new website. The information will be updated as new data becomes available.

The ministry also published a list of international companies that decided to leave the markets of the countries with the consideration of high geopolitical risks.

Sultanov wrote, "Anticipating the questions regarding companies relocating to Kazakhstan, I will say that Kazakhstan has one of the most comfortable conditions for opening and doing business in the post-Soviet space, which contributes to the growth of investment in the real sector and the opening of new production facilities."

"Any company that wants to open its own production chain in Kazakhstan will be able to use a full range of available privileges and resources for investors."
