On November 1, as part of the official visit of the President of France Emmanuel Macron to Kazakhstan, NAC Kazatomprom JSC’s Chief Executive Officer Meirzhan Yussupov and Framatome’s Sales & Marketing Vice President Vincent Mercier signed an Agreement on the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of the nuclear fuel cycle, QazMonitor reports.
"Framatome is one of Kazatomprom's strategically important partners in developing nuclear fuel cycle projects. I am confident that our cooperation will open new opportunities for bilateral relations in peaceful nuclear energy usage," stated Meirzhan Yussupov.
The agreement aims to expand mutually beneficial cooperation between the two companies by implementing joint projects in the nuclear fuel cycle sector, as well as training and preparing specialists.
Framatome is delighted to sign this agreement with Kazatomprom, the world's largest uranium producer. This strengthens our long-standing partnership and allows us to expand cooperation in the nuclear fuel cycle field.
