Several Chinese companies, including the power corporation Dunfan and the solar development company JA Solar Holdings, are considering establishing export-oriented production in Kazakhstan, QazMonitor reports citing the press service of Kazakh Invest.

Zhandos Temirgali, the Deputy Chair of Kazakh Invest, met with a delegation of over twenty Chinese companies led by Zheng Chao, the Vice President of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products. The parties discussed Kazakhstan's opportunities in implementing machinery and green energy projects.

During the meeting, the Chinese representatives expressed interest in localizing the production of equipment for solar and wind power plants, as well as the assembly of electric vehicles in the country. In this context, the Kazakh side proposed a phased localization of the electric vehicle production chain, particularly in the production of batteries.
