KASE Global, the platform for the circulation of securities of foreign companies, conducted deals totaling ₸9.1 billion in H1 2023, declining by 49.5% (₸9.0 billion) year over year, QazMonitor reports citing the press service of the Kazakstan Stock Exchange.
The average daily trading volume amounted to ₸76.2 million, the average daily number of deals – 228, and average volume of one deal stood at ₸334.0 thousand.
The largest volume of trades was recorded for the following shares:
Apple Inc. – 2,214 deals totaling ₸1,139.2 million
Tesla Inc. – 4,242 deals totaling ₸853.8 million
Pfizer Inc. – 1,232 deals totaling ₸751.8 million
Among the main categories of investors, individuals accounted for 55.1%, broker-dealer organizations – 23.4%, and other legal entities – 21.5%. The participation of non-residents is estimated at 1.1%.
By the end of June 2023, the trade lists of the KASE Global sector included 44 shares and 14 exchange-traded funds (ETFs) of foreign issuers. In the second quarter of 2023, the ETF securities of foreign issuers iShares Inc. and Franklin Templeton Investments, Inc. opened on KASE.
