Chevrolet, the leader of Kazakhstan automotive market, held a large-scale dealer conference in Almaty on February 17, 2023. More than 150 people representing 27 official dealer centers from 17 cities of Kazakhstan took part in the event. The aim of the conference was to summarize the results of 2022 and to brief on the development plans for the current year.
According to the results of 2022, the Chevrolet brand took first place in the automobile market of Kazakhstan with a share of 27.7%, and showed a growth of 17.8% Y/Y. The manufacturer sold 34,289 new cars last year.
The automotive market in Kazakhstan is developing rapidly. Despite the challenges in the world of economics, politics, and business, every company has to adapt to the rapidly changing environment and adjust its strategies.
Mark Nozhnenko, Commercial Director of Distribution, opened the conference with a welcoming speech. He thanked all the dealers for their work in 2022. Then the following directors of departments made individual presentations in their areas: Dmitry Lipich, director of dealer network development and analytics department; Julia Krongart, director of marketing and customer service department; Igor Shevchenko, director of after-sales service department; and others.
The conference comprised three sections, where dealers discussed current issues with the distributor. Additionally, there were brief training sessions on certification, sales, marketing, service and auto parts.
In addition, the dealers were given the primary objective of providing quality interaction with customers, from a high level of service to the satisfaction of Chevrolet brand car owners. In response, the distributor announced plans to launch new and updated models and sales plans for the current year. There will be a number of important changes in the warranty on after-sales service and the quality of service throughout the car ownership period.
Since May 2020, the number of Chevrolet cars in Kazakhstan has already exceeded 70,000 units and continues to grow. This growth reflects the high level of brand interest and trust.
Each new official dealer center undergoes a multistage certification process for compliance with the brand standards. Service personnel training and professional development workshops receive particular attention.
Such meeting grounds allow all the participants to exchange experiences and share the vision of the brand development in the future.
The final part of the conference was the awarding ceremony for the best dealers in various categories according to the results of 2022.
