Google for Startups will continue its exclusive partnership with Astana Hub in 2023 and included a new country to its program, QazMonitor reports citing Astana Hub.

As of January 2023, Kazakhstan remains the first and only country in Central Asia to launch an accelerator with the global company Google for Startups.

The first stream of the joint Silkway Accelerator program started in July, with the second stream kicking off in September of last year.

The third stream of the Silkway Accelerator will start in March 2023. The three-month training will be free of charge and conducted in an offline format in Astana. Applications from IT startups at Product/Market Fit, Scale stages from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and – for the first time – Georgia will be accepted until February 17.

Thanks to the cooperation with Google for Startups, 25 of the best startups in Central Asia, Azerbaijan, and Mongolia entered the global market, showing rapid growth during the accelerator. The average monthly revenue of all the companies more than doubled. The results of the two streams speak volumes about the effectiveness of the program, so our partnership with Google for Startups is a logical continuation. We've already started collecting applications for the third stream and the news this year is that Google for Startups has expanded the program's area of coverage by adding Georgia – now startups from this country may also participate in our accelerator," said Magzhan Madiev, CEO of the Astana Hub.

The participants will have access to the master classes and mentorship from the top Google experts, experienced trackers and mentors from Astana Hub, as well as PR support. A Demo Day will be organized at the end of the third stream, when startups will make presentations to local and foreign investors.

Astana Hub will provide the participants with accommodation apartments and co-working space. They will learn how to effectively establish business processes and partnerships, scale, and attract investment.

Registration for the third Silkway Accelerator Stream 3 is open until February 17, 2023.

Google for Startups is a startup program launched by Google Corporation in 2011. It consists of more than 50 co-working spaces and accelerators in 125 countries and provides hands-on lessons for tech entrepreneurs.
