International fast-food chain Popeyes plans to open and develop dozens of restaurants across Kazakhstan in the coming years, QazMonitor reports citing RBI.
One of the world’s largest chicken quick service restaurants was founded in 1972 in New Orleans, USA. The brand distinguishes itself with a colorful New Orleans-style menu that honors local flavors and traditions.
The restaurant has signed an agreement with Centras Group, a Kazakh management company, lending it exclusive rights to operate its fast-food brand in Kazakhstan.
This is the first Popeyes deal in Central Asia, which reflects the company’s desire to expand in the region. Previously, it has signed agreements to enter France, Poland, and the Czech Republic in 2023.
The launch is expected to lead to major investments in the market with Centras Group, creating thousands of new jobs and establishing supply and distribution chains across the country.
